Measurement
One of the most crucial aspects of crafting a suit is creating individualized patterns by hand based on precise body measurements. Detailed measurements of the client’s body are taken, including shoulders, chest, waist, hips, inseam, and sleeve length. The tailor also analyzes the client’s posture and unique physical features to ensure the suit fits perfectly.
Pattern Drafting and cutting
After completing the measurements and observations, the Tailor begins create a one-of-a-kind blueprint for the client’s suit. This pattern is customized to include the specific design elements agreed upon during the consultation. Once the fabrics are delivered, The selected fabric is then hand-cut according to the pattern, ensuring precision and alignment of patterns like stripes or checks, preparing it for the subsequent stages of suit construction.
Fitting
The first fitting, the client tries on this skeleton version of the suit to assess the overall fit, shape, and drape. Adjustments are marked and pinned at this stage to refine the fit further for the second fitting. A second fitting follows, during which the suit takes a more defined shape. The focus here is on fine-tuning details like the shoulders, chest, waist, and sleeve length. This is also the point where the client provides additional feedback to ensure their preferences are fully captured.
Refinement and Adjustments
After completing all the fittings, we move on to the step of deconstructing the suit to address any minor imperfections. Every element of the suit is carefully reviewed once more to ensure perfection in every detail.
Last Stage
After completing any necessary refinements to ensure it aligns perfectly with the client’s expectations. With these adjustments complete, the suit reaches 100% completion, showcasing its impeccable details and refined silhouette. Every aspect of the lining and stitching is meticulously finished by hand, reflecting the craftsmanship and care invested in its creation.
